Fractel Female Ambassadors dominating 2019!

This week we’re bringing you an update on how our female ambassadors are absolutely crushing the running and adventure scene in 2019…

We know Emma has a serious passion for the mountains and her recent trip to Nepal two months ago demonstrated exactly that..

“We finished the Annapurna Circuit Trek in 11 days, with 240km and 12 000m of climbing. It was everything I dreamed of and more. I’m feeling very fortunate to experience such beauty through the Himalayan mountains. The people I’ve met and places I’ve seen have been fantastic. This is definitely one adventure I won’t forget in a while.”

Now back in Australia, she’s already managed a trip the Mt Hotham in Victoria for some more exploration and has now finally had a chance to reset, and assess what the remainder of 2019 holds..

“After a slow start to the year I’m starting to find my groove with running and training again. After a 3 week trip in Nepal which included 11 days of hiking, I came back to Australia with a desire to train and race again. However, I haven’t been drawn to any particular events in a long time. For me, I need to be invested in a race to train well and get the best out of myself. Then, just like that, things fall into place and suddenly I’ve entered an event. With a 4 week trip to Alaska already planned in September, I figured being that close to Canada I may as well throw a couple of weeks travel in there too. So for my next event, I will line up at the Iron Legs 60km Ultra in Alberta, Canada on August 17th. I’ll spend the following days parking at trailheads in a van and exploring what the Rockies have to offer, and then checking out Squamish. My 4 weeks in Alaska are to visit my best friend who lives in Anchorage. I may find myself lining up for the Equinox Trial Marathon, or I may be having too much fun spending long days on ridges in bear country to worry about events. As for when I return home, I haven’t got that far yet. I’m just working on one thing at a time while trying to build some fitness back. So far, things are looking great and I’m excited for what’s to come!”

Meanwhile in Victoria, Belinda has been absolutely crushing her training and racing this year. It started with a PB at the Two Bays 28km Trail Run Event and later first female at the Rokeby 14km Twilight Run. She’s starting the reap the rewards of what has been an impressive year of training and I’ve got a feeling this is only the beginning!  You’ll find Bel taking part in the below races throughout the second half of 2019..

July - You Yangs 100km

August - Wonderland 60km

September-Surfcoast 100km

December- Cathedral Rangers Half Marathon

“I am just loving running more than ever at the moment and feeling so good, after having a year of long distance races last year I wanted a goal to achieve three 100km races this year, so 1 down 2 to go.. I look forward to getting to that start line and enjoying every step of each of those races.”

We’re stoked to be able to support and witness these two women do what they do best – run and explore our world.
